Since cell phones fall under technology, this will be a good and reasonable place to talk about the Droid X by Motorola for Verizon. I'm actually considering purchasing it upon going full time with my job. I have review it and saw it in action. My conclusion is its a great smart phone maybe even better the iPhone 4. It has some many apps and various functions that are cool and essential for someone like me on business trips. The mobile wireless hot spot ability is one of the functions that can be helpful when on business trips. Plus reading my work email will great as well. So I see it benefits plus if I have a question about it, I have two colleagues who can help me out on it. Personally, I rather get the Droid X over the iPhone 4 since I'm not really turn on by iPhone based on many good reasons. In the end, in my opinion, if you want a smart phone that has many useful functions then the Droid X is the smart phone for you.

The Droid X is alright, but Moto Blur is horrible. There are better Android phones out there.

Meh, it doesn't do anything that other Android phones don't.

Not all Android phones are the same as well.

No, but other phones in the Droid X's class do the same thing. The HTC EVO 4G, for example, has all the same features, but with a better UI and a bigger screen.

Personally, I rather get the Droid X here. Each person have their own taste when it comes to cell phones in the end.

Fair enough, each to their own. I just had to point out that the Droid X in particular isn't really amazing and unique, even though it may be your personal choice of phone.

I'm more inclined to buy horse manure and rub it on my face than I am to buy a BlackBerry, so I'm with you there :P

Yea. Anyway I can't see myself buying the Verizon iPhone 4 since its a 3G phone. Also its like an iPod which is what I don't want since I'll be need a smartphone that benefits me for work and personal use. Granted the Droid X is a 3G phone but its successor the Droid Bionic is the one of the first 4G Smartphones coming out for Verizon.

I find it funny that Americans are getting so excited about the iPhone being on two networks. Here in Europe you can get iPhones officially unlocked or on contract or pay as you go from all of the networks.

That said, we don't have any 4G at all yet.

The mere fact that it runs Froyo means it does. Since features like app-to-SD is only available to phones running Froyo, nobody on AT&T can do it, and Samsung won't play nice either.
