I am working on getting a iMac G4 to boot into the OS, or reinstall an OS. I have MacOSX 10.4.11 installed however it is not booting into the OSX. It wont install the OS from the DVD. Disk Utility is saying that there is a "invalid node structure". How do I fix this?

Your hard drive may be failing. I would back everything up to an external disk, then run repair from the disk utility on the OS DVD and see if it will install after that. I would recommend replacing the hard drive at this point as it is fairly old. (I am operating on the assumption the drive is the one that came with the computer)

Think Toggie is right.

Try another HDD or another disk.
I own an iMac G4 beautiful machine.
Had a similar problem (I cannot remember but it sounds familer) .
