I have a Dell Latitude X300. (Yes, I know it's old, but it works pretty darn well). I use WiFi from the neighbors. Only one can I use.

The problem is that every time I turn on the computer, the computer wants to use a specific network in the area that requires a password.

How do I keep the computer on the network that doesn't require a password? I have to "manually" change it every time, and I always forget how to do it. I want to change it for good.

Somewhere within your wireless manager you should have an option for something like "Connect automatically when available".

What OS are you running, and what connection manager are you using?

I don't see that option like "Connect automatically when available". I thought I would see one like that.

I am using Windows XP SP3 with a Dell Wireless WLAN Card Utility.

Change the "Preferred networks" list under Wireless Network Connection properties → Wireless Network.

Some cards replace Windows' wifi manager with its own. If that's the case, you'll have to figure out how to configure it or switch back to Windows' manager. (usually by ticking "Use Windows to configure my wireless network settings").
