2009 Mac Pro OR iMac 2011?

Hey!
What should I do?
I have a choice between the following:
Mac Pro 2009 (March 2009):
3GB Ram
500GB HDD
Galnestown Xeon Quad Core
GT 110

Im a Apple developer who uses virtual machines rather allot.
Which would be best out of the two?
Im getting a Mac Pro because I can upgrade the CPU and GPU.

BUT:
I can afford an iMac i5 2.5 Ghz with the following:
4GB Ram
500GB HDD
AMD Radeon HD 6750M with 512MB

Which should I get?
I really don't know.

Neither.

If you're using virtual machines, then you need quite a bit more RAM than 4GB. I would go with at least 8.
