Hello you computer wizards

Firefox has been shutting down on me about once a day. It has a habit of doing it at the worst possible times. Anybody have any idea what's causing this?

Did you say that wasn't proper? Did you march out on the track?
You were quiet, just like mice. And now you say that we're not nice.
Well thank you buddy for your advice...

Ah goto the help section first and see if your running the latest version 1.5.0.7
Oh you click on about Mozilla Firefox.

They usually fix know bugs in the latest version so get the latest version if you do not.

After that your going to need someone smarter than this phoney :)

Do you know enough about computers to find out if your processor is getting too hot?

Computer gemlins are crashing fire fox grin... A few reasons why it could be crashing. Malformed web site as in buffer overflow errors, too full cache file, updating from netscape to firefox with out uninstalling netscape 6 or 7, or even worse having both firefox and netscape 6 or 7 installed at the same time they both try to use the same profile and it gets very ugly fast. Could be a new glitch that lucky you get to see and hopefuly tell the guys that make firefox about it so it can be fixed. And try not to keep firefox running for a whole day at a time, exit it and open again a few times a day. If you mean like when you are posting to a web fourm, use notepad or even word write what you want to say save it than copy and paste it. That way if you get a firefox crash you do not lose data.

Could try helping but do you mean as in shutting down? like crashing? V111 may have a point. Keep the operating system upto date and make sure theirs no spyware/viruses because they can affect browsers alot especially spyware.
