hey guys,

im taking a c++ programming course this semester and I need to find a free IDE for creating my C++ programs.
the only catch is, I only have my apple laptop up here at school.

my parents threatened to stop paying my tuition if I brought my PC tower with me... :roll:

so, does anyone know of an IDE that runs on os x? and is free?

Xcode is what I use. It should have come with the Mac OS X installation disks that came with your computer.
The Xcode package as a whole used to be called "Developer Tools," so you may need to check for a disk with that name also. In the case that you have an older "Developer Tools" disk, the IDE program is called "Project Builder," instead. Here is a link to a page about this software:
