Hey!
I have a Sony Vaio VGN-NW11S.
Here are its specs:
4GB DDR2 Ram
32 Bit Windows 7 Ultimite (Got to find my 64 Bit Copy somewhere).
HD Mobility Radeon 4570 512MB.

I want to update the GPU drivers to achive better FPS in games.
So I go to AMD's website and get the driver scanner.
The driver scanner downloads the GPU drivers and then it says they are not supported.
So then I go to Steam, and noticed that it has a GPU Drivers update feauture.
So I used that, and then it installs.
But then at the end it says this:
Installation Complete (Warnings occured during installation). View Log for details.
So at this point im like, Okay... Let have a look at the logs then.
I press View Log.
Nothing....
I press View Log again.....
Nothing.
I press it 64 times.... Nothing.
So yeah..
Im stuck with the 2009 outdated Drivers I downloaded off of Sonys Website.
What do I do now :x

first off
download these driver packages. never use auto detection systems, linksies to 32bit drivers v. 11.11
after that
uninstall all your graphics drivers,
then use 3dgurus driver cleaner and restart your system.

install the drivers and you should be golden
though the 48xx series gave me all kinds of hell, that was the x2 version though.

I think i found the right link
http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/w ... n7-32.aspx download link

http://support.amd.com/us/kbarticles/Pa ... n1111.aspx Relase notes this has more data about what else sould be installed.
Run the installer do not try unstalling the old ones. The installer will uninstall them for you i think.

try seraching for the 11-08 drivers on the amd website, those are a couple of months old but when the nwest doesnt work one has to try alternatives.

Because of contractual reason, mobile GPUs are traditionally excluded from the driver directly from AMD. Nowadays some manufacturers opt-in to allow AMD to provide direct support but it looks like Sony isn't one of them. If you can't get an up to date driver from Sony, try searching "modded mobile catalyst driver".
