To those using tablets, or those who plan on using tablet computers, what operating system do you prefer?

iOS has yet to be beat. The iPad is the OG :P

The second best is the PlayBook, those are very underrated tablets.

Android... Don't even bother.

What about Win8 or Ubuntu 11.XX ?
Are there any tablets running either of these stable yet? I'm not a big tablet person, don't own one, but Ubuntu 11.XX seems made for tablets, as well as Windows 8
I voted Android because I like it better than iOS

Personally, I loved the interface of Windows Metro, and I'm looking forward for its release. The basis of the options I made was on what systems are available at the time this thread was created.

Don't know, im pretty torn between iOS and Android.
I like Android, MAX customisation, custom roms + a Linux kernel.
I like iOS less customisation, but you get so much smoothness, and a damn good SDK.

Windows Metro is good, I do like it on Windows Phone 7. I just hope they don't force desktop users of Windows 8 to use it, because without a touchscreen it's a horrible way to navigate a system.

I think it's obvious from my screen name where my preferences lie 8)

I personally have a Xoom. Had they existed with Honeycomb at the time I bought it, I think I might have been happier with one that has a smaller (but equally high-res) display. The Xoom definitely starts to feel a bit hefty in one hand after a while. The main advantage of the large display is the theoretical ability to view ebooks 2-up (ie, 2 pages side by side, like an open book), but to this day I've never found a pdf (or epub, or mobi) viewer that can actually DO that.

All I want for Christmas is ICS, with full buildable source, for my Xoom and Photon ;)

So far, I love honeycomb. It's lean, mean, customizable and does everything I want/need.

Plus, it ISN'T from Apple.

If I can't have FreeBSD, I'll settle for OS X.

iPad is king of the tablets. And I'm an Android guy. I love my Android phone, and I hate Apple. But they have no competition in the tablet market whatsoever.

I just got my ASUS TF201 tablet running Android 4.0. I love it. Once the keyboard dock is out, I'm going to buy that and use my tablet to replace my laptop.
