I go to school full-time and I'm sick of lugging my 17" Desktop Replacement Laptop to school. I need it to have the ability to create and work with Microsoft Office. Get directions via Google or MapQuest. As well as do for a Portable Music Player. I would need it to do most things a Netbook could do. I work a lot with Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint Docs. I would also like something I can add a keyboard to. As long as its very light and can do all that I am happy.

Apple iPad is out of the question. I would prefer something with Anroid.

I can sense the sarcasm. I'm legitimately asking what is a good Tablet based computer that is worth the $$$. One that I can have freedom with the software put on it. IOne that would be good while on campus. So I'm not lugging around a laptop in a already heavy bag.

Hmm... How about a Netbook? :P

Seriously though, if you plan to do a lot of typing, a netbook is probably more practical and easier to carry around than a tablet and separate keyboard.

I've seen netbooks as low as $200. Best value for a tablet is probably the Kindle Fire, which costs the same amount and doesn't support a keyboard.

It depends on how complicated the Office documents you are working with. For full compatiblity, you are basically restricted to Windows tablets with M$ Office. If you don't mind some limitations (no VBA, slightly to very different document layout, layout changing when edited documents is open in Office again), Android is a better choice than Apple's iOS. Basically any android tablet will do as long as it can run the app. You can browser the android market and check out the reviews. I have no recommendations here since no app do a perfect job.

A tablet is frustrating at best for even extremely light productive workloads.
