I am trying to downgrade from Windows Media Player 12 (it constantly updates and is driving me crazy.)

However, I don't know what program would do this. I'm guessing a program within control panel, but someone here likely knows how to do this very quickly.

can I suggest ditching wmp and installing vlc instead as in my opinion it is much better.

Or if you absolutely need to specifically use wmp, a 10 second google search resulted in me finding this tutorial video on how to downgrade to 11 from 12, assuming you're running windows 7.

I like using Windows Media Player so i can get Last.fm scrobbles. It came default with the Vista -> Windows 7 upgrade. So yes, I'm running windows 7.

I do know what VLC is and it seems very good at using low RAM, and I am keeping it as a fallback.

Windows products will have issues, this is how they work.

VLC should work just fine, most problems are fixed through google.

If you still want to use windows media, then good luck. And I don't know the accuracy of the instructions above, so use a virus scanner and such.

Great idea Nim. I just have one issue...it won't work. I have tried Foofar 0.9 and Foofar 0.9.4 and checked to make sure the password and username matched. I tried resetting password 3 times and have restarted the programs at least 10. Where might the issue be? Should I restart it then check?

Dunno, you should google for answers. But it also shows there is a plugin for winamp if that sounds good to you.

I don't like WinAmp's layout...I'll just fiddle with it for a bit and get back to you.
