Science is finally catching up to science fiction. Scientists have managed to create the first prototype of an actual invisibility cloak. Story here:

Yahoo!

If the research goes well, and new versions are completed and work, this could be one of the greatest scientific achievements in modern times.

"I cast Cloak of Invisibility! *throws cloak*"

I use... eyesight.

A great scientific achievement? Technically, yes.
But I'm not cheering wildly over stealthier stealth bombers.

I cast...Blind!

Yah, I forgot about military applications (though the potential to stop seismic vibrations from earthquakes? If possible, this could be a great asset to the West Coast).

That may not be... wise.

The term "cutting edge" for technology arose in a military context.

I'm waiting for an instant healthy weight gain pill. I'm fed up of eating nuts, avocadoes and drinking full-fat milk.

I cast True Seeing. After that, I pull off your cloak and set it on fire. If you try this again, I'll cast Power Word Kill.
