Bah, humbug!
The cult of pi is pure nonsense. Pi is not "the" fundamental circle constant! It's just an artifact of how we write mathematics. We could write mathematics using 1/pi or 2pi instead, and it would all work out the same. The entire family of numbers derived from pi are collectively an interesting collection that has something to do with circles. But pi itself is not a particularly distinguished member of this family!
I get even more annoyed when people memorise the decimal representation of pi. This is silly and arbitrary in two ways. First, pi is not a particularly special number when compared to its relatives. Second, the decimal system is an arbitrary artifact of the fact that we have ten fingers, and is not a natural mathematical idea.
the property of euclidean space, its essential flatness is what makes pi = 3.1415962..... pi is what it is for the same reason the angles in a triangle add up to pi radians.
