Being a bit of a nerd, i eagerly await pi day, and I was just wondering if anyone has any ideas as to how I could celebrate it with my NT freinds WITHOUT getting into any trouble with my school. So.... suggestions welcome :)

Oh, well I was going to suggest doing a bunch of irrational things, but never mind

Get a small group of people together, and go to a cafe or restaurant after school. When you get there, order pie. In fact, there's a chain called Bakers' Square, that specializes in pies. It doesn't have many locations, though, but if there is one near you, go there. They might even have pi day specials of their own.

perhaps spontaneously go into the cafeteria with two pie's or something, and announce a pi off.. whomever can recite the most digits in pi wins first and second prizes ? (A blue berry chocolate cake, vs second place apple pie?)

maybe irrational, maybe inspirational

For Pi day, square the circle.

In New York they call pizza, pie. So bring in 3.14 slices of pizza pie! You'll have to figure out the thickness of a 0.14 slice.

Pi is 22/7, so have groups of seven people hold hands in a straight line. Then arrange a second group of people to form a circle around this group so that the straight line is the diameter of the circle. The circle should have 22 people.

Then take a photo of the group from above in a helicopter.

Or just play a game of "spin the bottle".

This might be appropriate for all ages, but you could watch Darren Aronofsky's Pi

once again might not be a great idea for little kids, over 15s over, but what an incredible film.

Most math teachers I've met love celebrating pi day by having the class bring in pies to share. Some even ordered pizza for the class. Maybe see if your teacher would do that?

I was hoping you'd be more transcendental, too!
