Hey!
For some reason, (I have no idea why the hell any one on this planet would want to use it) Nano has started playing up on me. Backspace acts as del instead!
Please help me fix it!
I have tried:
echo "set rebinddelete" >> $HOME/.nanorc but it says permission denied even if I run it with sudo or su.
It was working a few days ago, but now it isnt.
This is really really really annoying.
It started when I used vi instead of nano (I started Vi and I was trying to exit out of it so I pressed ctrl [ and numerous other keys to no avail.).
Vi is terrible, the only reason why I used it was because nano wasnt working via ssh, SSH is working with nano now.
Sorry for the angry thread, this week has been one big wind up.

Have you checked that the file has write permissions on it? Something weird isn't going on is it and your filesystem is mounted read-only?

Not as far as I know.
Its something to do with SSH doing more research with it.

Derp sorry. Il have a look.
Its running on XDsl (Running on my softmodded xbox), which doesn't seem to worry about permissions at all. But il check.

Was nano running at the time?

Try saving the changes after you have killed all nano.
