why would one want to colonize the sun?

While you're at it, why not ask whether it would be possible to colonize a black hole?

No. Even considering the possibility when it becomes a white dwarf star and reaches a comfortable temperature over time (which is a long a** time) it's not possible.

Maybe, provided the indigene(s) didn't object.

Oot using any technology that is even sorta close to our current level. Not much point to it either, theres no resources there other than the abundant energy supply. Just lots and lots of hydrogen and helium and other light gases. Not to mention the REALLY high gravity (as in, you would be squished like a pancake even when thousands of miles away probably)N
