Low FPS to do with Unity?

Hey!
Im running Ubuntu 12.04 with Wine 5.8. I am trying to play L4D 2 and I am getting a static framerate of 20-30FPS on my current system:
AMD Phenom I x4 2.8 Ghz
3GB DDR2 Ram
GTS 250 1GB

What do you think is going on? My driver version is 295.49. I have heard its a bug in unity that makes 3D slow. Is this true?
I have tried Portal 2 and got the same results (I have tried Portal 2 on several other machines and got the same results anyway. Just thought I'd mention that) .
PS:
Minecraft runs at about 40 - 50 Fps.
On Windows I THINK it used to run at 80 + Im not sure though as we havent used this PC in like 6 months.
