comodo free internet secuirity suite,

includes:
-trainable firewall,
-full execution protection
-sandboxing enviroment
-real time virus scanner

it will prompt you every time you start something new, after a while everything you use will be trusted so you barely notice its there.

an adblocker like the one Kaminari suggested above will help while browsing and i would reccomend installing that as well.

comodo can be a bit slow when doing an actual full scan, the results are worth it though, it can even handle some of the nastier rootkits out there.
