This is the first, and last wooden computer case I will EVER make. This has been the single most frustrating computer related task that I have undertaken thus far.

that looks quite nice, i imagine it will fit well with the wood in your room.

how big is it_, it looks to be quite compact,

The pi and bass clef are nice touches. The lamination you applied is cool. (Must've kept your window open for days because of this). Good job. Just like an aspie - seeing a project all the way through to its completion.

And it does :)

'Tis a Fibonacci spiral not a bass clef, though the two do look quite similar. I had it sitting on the porch for the varnishing, I get sick way to easy from those fumes. Thanks :D

Looks really great! :D But aren't you afraid it might burn? Wood doesn't like the heat of processors...

Standard ATX.
I had an old case from a cheep (and long dead) store bought system. I cut the mounting plate out of it, then cut that in to small bits (it was for a micro ATX) and arranged them on a piece of 1/4" plywood that I then screwed down inside the case.

The processor will fry it's self way before it gets that hot in there. And I have no intention of letting that happen, which is why I have This keeping the CPU cool.

I have always wanted to try to make my own case, but I have never started because it seems like a lot of work. Well done for seeing it through. It's great
