I'll probably get better answers on a forum dedicated to linux but I am having trouble setting up Compiz with Mate on Ubuntu 13.04. I installed a minimal install of Ubuntu 13.04 and I installed Mate without an issue. Than upon installing and launching fusion-icon, an application that manages compiz I get a segmentation fault,

Assuming thats not fixable, I tried to load compiz manually with 'compiz --replace ccp &' and that leads to a black screen that requires me to reboot. I than tried to load compiz with indirect rendering with 'compiz --indirect-rendering --replace ccp &' with the same problem. This computer has a Nvidia Geforce 5200 in it and it has the proper driver loaded as glxinfo displays this,

Is this fixable at all? I love the traditional gnome2 desktop and would love to have compiz with it to bring back memories of the good old pre-gnome3 days
