I don't have any games but I do have a lot of apps I use frequently...

Autosync free
- turn on sync only when on wifi - so you're not using metered data checking your email every 5 minutes unless you're on wifi or actively checking your email.

Shaw Go Wifi Finder
- my cable internet provider has hotspots for their customers all over the Island I live on but the coverage is not 100%, so I can find a nearby hotspot if I need to connect my laptop and don't want to use 3G tethering (ie to download a big service manual or BIOS patch etc)

Wifi Analyser
Ping & DNS
- both of these are for network troubleshooting - you can find wifi hotspots are all using the same channel, router online but not routing (by pinging the public IP from 3G) etc.

Recforge Lite
RTA Analyser
- I can email sound samples to prove a sound is coming from one device and not another ie a service call for a failing HDD but it is really the CPU fan (because people call the computer box the hard drive). I can record weird sounds I hear in nature to share.
- I can (& have) used this to prove that I am not crazy, there really is something making an annoying noise.

Quickmark
- in addition to scanning QR codes (usually useless, occasionally a contact on someones business card) I can scan waybill barcodes to the clipboard and paste into call closure emails.

Square Register
- My wife sells her art at craft fairs, we use this to process credit card payments. It is way cheaper and nicer than an interac terminal, but does not take debit cards.

GPS Status & Toolbox
- I can copy my location to the clipboard, send it as a sms, etc. It is also a compass and level, and can show the direction and distance to a previously marked location (ie where I have parked in a large parking lot).

Realcalc
- scientific calculator with Decimal, hex, and binary modes,

TuneIn Radio is a great radio app.

Rocket Player is a good free music player. I totally HATE the PLAY MUSIC app.

Google Sky is a cool app too.

Comixology is essential.

Netflix (if you have an account)

Netflix, Toca Hair Salon 2, Pandora/IHeartRadio, Temple Run 1&2, Subway Surfers.

I also use a couple of drawing apps. SketchGuru is good for just doodling, and replays your actions. It's also free. I use the mobile version of AutoDesk SketchBook, which has three versions of the software. (SketchBook Mobile X is free, but you can't save your work. SketchBook Mobile is $2.99, and SketchBook Pro is $4.99. Depending on the size of your tablet, Mobile and Pro would be your best choices.)

Tumblr is also fun to use on a tablet, and it has a nice interface.

As of right now

Free:
The Kindle App. Actually I like all of the big Amazon apps, Amazon Mobile and the Appstore included. So glad I did not get a kindle when I have pretty much everything a kindle has on a Nexus.

The Weather Channel App- This is a great and in depth app for local weather and weather emergency alerts. I also get these mpoint things that can be exchanged for various products and gift cards just for using the app.

Google Now: First of all, I love the look. The two home page graphics on top I've seen so far, look awesome. Then you have the "Cards" where the weather shows, popular news from various sources, nearby events (There's a 5 and 10k race going on soon and that's good to know since I want to run a 5k for my first time some day), high quality photos of places right by where I live that were taken by people, and local restaurants nearby with their ratings shown. There is apparently much more to it, but I haven't seen the rest yet.

Google Voice: I know google chrome has it on PC's already but I never really looked into it until I used my tablet. It's easier to do sometimes than use the tablet keyboard. I like it when the lady tells me what I am asking about.

Paid:
Plants and Zombies 1= I bought this app a long time ago as part of a humble mobile bundle package for one dollar, for my parents who I thought has an android phone at the time. Well I was wrong so it went unused for quite awhile. I never thought I'd like it, but when I tried it, it was soooo much fun. It's like a tower defense/role playing game with... PLANTS AND ZOMBIES hahaaha. It's actually kind of hard in the later stages too... That keeps me interested! I'm super excited for number 2 to come out on android, even though I still need to beat adventure mode on number one.

Other than that I haven't paid for an app yet.
