How exactly does one pronounce the word "pwned" anyway? I've always thought of it as like pooned... that is, the celtic w = oo thing, but only a few scholars and various fans of Katherine Kerr's Deverry novels would know that... how do you pronounce it?

i dont think many people say this word out loud

I would either pronouce it like owned with a p in the front, or like "pawned". I alternate between the two....

True, but one still has to think it when reading it... what does it sound like in your head?

So far we've got "pooned", "powned", "pawned"... and someone I asked by email added "owned".
