Hey guys I need to know were I can get an ISO of XP Professional Upgrade CD for uses in VirtualBox it won't read it saids to insert the CD when its already in but on the good side I have a product key that came with the software it was an unopened copy I know XP support as ended but I steal want to play around with XP to run old software on my Mac.

How to obtain replacements of Microsoft software: (although I doubt this would now include XP)

Alternatively, see if you can boot the CD you have on another machine - there may be some issue with VirtualBox.

Please don't bother asking about torrents etc.

There's a better way to do this :) Just install guest add on's and add the directory that your cdrom drive is at to the shared folders.

If you've already done that then there might be something wrong with the cd, although I doubt that :/

This worked for me and I had to go into the directory where the cdrom was and browse the cd contents to get the cdrom drive to wake up and for Windows XP to recognize it in virtual box. This might also work too ...
