anyone can recommend my good program for that.

I recently bought a magazine "Focus" is a Polish magazine moving various topics, a little like the American "Life Magazine" for the magazine was attached video to DVD, "Jack Strong" about Colonel Kuklinski in Poland are the divided opinion on him, some consider Him as traitor some as Hero, but it does not matter.

I would like to copy a DVD so I can have a movie on my hard drive, how do this?

That depends on the operating system you're using. On a Mac, HandBrake is your best bet. Google RIp DVD windows to see what is available for Windows.

Handbrake and another program (DVD 43, if I recall) works as well.

The second program overrides copy protections that keep the PC from reading the DVD for any purpose other than playback.

I use them all the time so I can make portable versions of my DVDs for my iPhone or iPad (or just to play on PC without having to find the DVD).
