my computer has been infected with some kind of virus that prevents me from accessing my wifi settings to reset password. I have done a full factory restore and it failed to fix the issue. I am worthless with these things but if someone could advise a remedy to my situation it would be greatly appreciated. Yeah I know nothing about root and bios issues either

It is a Windows 8.1 I ot instructions from Microsoft website and selected the option to reinstall operating system. Whenever I try to sign into my wifi portal I get a small window that says I have been logged out and that all my data will be lost. I have tried signing in using IE, Chrome and firefox and cleared the caches all to no avail

It acts like it is going to sign in, I can see the network control panel but a little window pops up saying "you are being logged out. you will lose unsaved changes" with only an "ok" box to click which then takes me back to my log in screen

Whatever you have sounds as if it starts up when you start your computer. You may want to see what is starting up, and then find out what it is that is causing this to happen. After doing this go to a website such as Bleeping Computer to find out how to manually remove whatever you have.

In order to remove it completely, I would suggest installing a Live Linux Distribution to a USB drive, booting into the Linux Distro and removing the crapware and associated files from your hard drive while running the Linux Distro. --This will ensure that if any trace of the crapware loads up into memory, when running windows, it will not be able to re-write itself back to your hard drive when you boot down.
