I use an Acer Aspire E-15. I uninstalled Windows 8.1 and installed Ubuntu 14.04. I'm thinking of switching to Debian soon.

Unfortunately I only have an external and internal webcam, both of which will not be able to take a picture of my laptop.

A desktop I built myself, and a Thinkpad X201t that I bought from eBay. Since this forum doesn't allow for images in signatures, here's the CPU-Z validation page for my desktop, if you want to know about its 1337 specs: http://valid.x86.fr/p8cqsw

Interesting setup. What OS(es) are you running on those other two desktops?

Me imagining how one would move your setup to another location is frightening, it would be a kerfuffle to say the least. Hopefully you're planning on staying at that house for a long time.

Two monitors are for the computer which specs I listed and the 3rd is for an old i7 920 which is running windows 7 home premium as well as the laptop which is an i3 first gen running 7 home premium. The glass table slides if I need to reach stuff but yeah its a pain in the ass to move my main tower which weighs a hell of a lot and has a billion wires. I also have a 19inch LCD tv to the right of me in the side of the desk. I don't use this computer much anymore because its in a moldy basement which bothers my allergies so much even with a Hepa tower running full blast beside me 247.

I should mention that I tried having this computer in my bedroom but the computer is basically a blast furnace its so hot. Even in the dead of winter my room would be intolerably hot. In the summer I couldnt run my computer setup and a window AC at the same time or it would trip the breaker circuit. My central AC cant compensate for the heat this puts off so I put it in the basement. The basement is quite large and this computer running manages to raise the basement 2 to 3 degrees celcius even in the middle of winter.

My Acer 5920. All antiques.
I have a second hd in the dvd slot for my music, photos and other stuff.
This laptop was given to me as it had overheated. I just bought a new fan from e-bay and thermal paste. Also the kb wasn't working too well. I screwed up the motherboard when I tried to release the keyboard ribbon.
The screen is starting to go at the base but I have used this now for a few years.
I only have 2 g ram as I am using 4 g in my other laptop to run win 10. I tried win 10 on this but I had a problem with the drivers.

I see you are running Ubuntu Mate. I like the look of Ubuntu Mate, it looks like an amalgamation of Linux Mint and Ubuntu. I don't like the colour of Linux Mint though. Say, does anyone know how to change the colour of highlighted text on Ubuntu and Ubuntu-based distributions?

If you change the theme it does that.

I have a custom built PC, and a stock laptop (plus an old stock PC and netbook, no longer in use). I didn't exactly build it on the cheap, but I did try to keep it sensible, seeing as it's for personal, and not professional, use...

Image

CoolerMaster Silencio 550 case (with extra sound-proofing)
AMD FX-8370 Oct-Core at 4Ghz (not overclocked), cooled by
Two Corsair AF120 fans, and
Corsair H80i liquid cooling (the only thing powerful enough to cool the processor, bar the H100i), on...
Gigabyte 990XA-UD3
16GB 1600MHz Hyper-X Fury memory, which I'm upgrading to 32GB (should have gone for 2133MHZ, I know)
2GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX750Ti
W7 Prem. (64-bit), booting from 120GB SSD 450MB/s, which I'm upgrading to Samsing EVO 850 - 250GB 540MB/s
Linux (fairly customised Ubuntu), booting from 80GB 5400rpm brandless HDD (it literally cost me £9.98/$15 including postage)
1TB 7200rpm WD Caviar for storage (no RAID yet)
1TB WD external drive.
Dualband 450mbps wireless, mobo can apparently handle gigabit ethernet, though I've never wired it.
Bluray drive
Hot-swappable 3.5" bay
It does have integrated Dolby 7.1, but I use an external Focusrite Scarlett to go in to two Yamaha HS50M monitors (better than KRK Rokits)
Mouse: Gigabye ECO600 (honestly the best mouse I've ever used, plus it lasts ages)
Keyboard: I don't have much luck with keyboards, so I'm trialing the Chinese BAKTH gaming keyboard (non-UK layout)
I wish now that I'd plumped for the modular power supply...

Due to the location of my computer, I uses it as a TV as well, so no dual- or triple-monitor setup for me, just a 39" Samsung LED wallmounted screen.

I used thermal past where appropriate and made it as sound-proof as possible, so it neither cooks nor roars, unless I'm doing some heavy rendering in summer.
