I've always wanted to be a doctor, but rather will definitely not be a doctor :-(
(Im to old 29 years old)

Anyway, I have a great estimations for doctors and for work they do.

I wonder how it is in the United States and England, because in Poland to study medicine last 6 years, and people from these studies are awarded the title of physican of medicine, physican of dental medicine or physician of veterinary medicine, to be doctor they must finish additional several years of doctoral studies, as it is in any other university discipline in Poland not every doctor finish it  , yet we always call them doctors, regardless whether they have Ph.D.
or not.

I'm wonder how it look in other countries

We had a doctor around here who did not start medical school until his mid 30s. He was into his 40s before he finished his residency and began a medical practice.

I may be wrong, but I think that most doctors are MD's or some other type of doctor such as a DO. PhD's seem to be more for those who are interested in pursuing academic/research careers.

^ That sounds about right, my dad went to med-school and he only had an AS degree going in. The standard is a BS degree . Med school doesn't give you a PHD, according to my dad.
