Ah, this is an old topic, but oh well. I just bought a PSP and I LOVE IT! It is the greatest invention EVER!

I have Lumines and I am going to get Lemmings. What games are good? What case do you use? Do you have a screen protector?

PSPs seem good, but are too expensive and therefore I am not allowed to get one.

I recently sold mine, but I loved it when I had it... especially with homebrew software that allowed me to play SNES games. ;)
Lemmings is alright, nothing like the original version though.

I prefer the computer to these gaming consoles. Although the PSP and Nintendo DS do offer a great portability factor. I haven't touched my Gameboy Advance in some time :P.

I am not sure about the games, but I also can put movies on mine.

I have two PSPs. One's got 1.5 (for homebrew), and the other had 2.6. A couple months ago, I managed to take the 2.6 PSP and put Dark_Alex's 3.10 OE-A firmware on it. Now I can do 1.5 homebrew, play the latest games, AND play them from my memstick via the integrated ISO loader. There's also a few other caveats to OE-A.

Initially, I only got the PSP for Liberty City Stories and homebrew. Now that I take the train to work, I've got a half hour to burn each way. The PSP then became indispensable.

I've got:

GTA:Liberty City Stories (completed 100%)
Metal Gear Ac!d (finished Extreme mode)
Valkyrie Profile (got all 3 endings, completed Seraphic Gate)
GTA:Vice City Stories (haven't started yet)

Valkyrie Profile is my favorite, and easily one of the best RPGs ever. I really regret missing this when it was out for the PS1.

I've borrowed Exit and LocoRoco from a friend. Exit's pretty fun in terms of puzzle-solving. LocoRoco is a lot of fun, if a bit hard.

Thank you for sharing. I find it ironic that when people hate something and wish to have nothing to do with it, they spend their time telling other people exactly how bad the thing is----which is like obsessing over it. If I dislike something, I don't even think about it. Maybe you should just let some things go...

It's a strange situation for me. I love the stuff Sony makes (PS2/3, PSP), yet I hate the way they operate.

Sony puts so much effort into locking down the PSP that they actually make it *less* functional with some new firmwares.

I have Dark_AleX's 3.10 OE-A custom firmware installed on my PSP. I recommend homebrew games such as Trigonometry Wars and PSPDoom.

Apart from piracy, I don't see why Sony are locking out homebrew with the latest firmwares. Surely Sony can release an official homebrew dev kit with limited kernel access to stop UMD emulation.

Yeah, you can't use homebrew on the current firmware update.

But does anyone reccomend a good syncing program for my mac to my psp? I know Sony sells a Windows version of their own software, but isn't releasing anything for Mac OS X any time soon.
