If you think you can get anyone to agree any given number of cents is not the same amount of money as the same number of dollars, think again.

There's something profoundly heroic about people who can't be reasoned with; something I envy.

Some humans are really bad at converting both dollars and cents and kilobytes and megabytes. I almost think that the reason American refuses to fully convert to the metric system is because many people simply get confused and can't keep track in powers of ten conversions. With units like inches and feet, they memorize and then actually do the math every single time. Maybe common core math will change some of that in the generation currently in the lower elementary school grades...
