It's a technology that's supposed to read people's emotions. It sounds like it's currently an add-on for Google Glass (which is very expensive, but one article indicates it might become a smarter Siri for the iPhone:

I don't see how this can possibly be used for anything good. I can think of a number of evil, privacy-violating uses for a technology like this, however.
