I had some trouble getting a laptop upgraded to Windows 10. Supposedly the BIOS weren't compatible (it was running 7), but I upgraded the BIOS, only to then notice it seemed to not be allowing Windows Updates any more.

After reinstalling 7 a couple times, only to still have the same apparent Update problem, I went ahead and tried upgrading to 10. It worked. I then did a clean reinstall of 10, and it's seemingly running okay. (I'm using it to type this.)

The only thing is the last regular Windows Update seems to be from the 13th...four days ago. I just got it to download and install an Update, but that was for Windows Defender, and it's not showing in the list of Updates.

If you're running Windows 10, what's the date of your most recent Update? Anything more recent than the 13th?

Thank you.

You seem to have both Aspie and neurotypical traits

What would these results mean? Been told here I must be a "half pint".

Last Windows 10 cumulative update on the 9th March.
Last security update 11th March.

Looking at my update history, a few days between security updates, and a little longer between OS updates, seems pretty normal.

Unfortunately the system can get into a state where automatic updates no longer happen and it won't notify you that its no longer updating. I noticed this because I bought my wife a new laptop with Windows 10, and after initial setup it did this *major* update that took forever. I scratched my head because I didn't recall my Windows 10 desktop ever doing this update, so I checked and the last update it had done was months prior. I had to google for the specific update it got stuck on and found other people had this problem, and there were manual steps to get around it and have the system resume automatic updates (don't recall what they were). So you may want to Google for the last update it did or tried to do and see if its making anyone else's system get stuck and no longer update, and see if there's any solution - that is of course if you are convinced your system is no longer updating.
