This is a wonderful sight to behold. An educated politician being able to explain things on layman's terms and get it right.

WAtch the woman on the right. You can barely see her, but her head is all up and down as he speaks. Sigh......what happened to Amuuuurica?

So, I read this article: https://www.washingtonpost.com/postever ... computing/

But, while this is accurate, and many of the comments are people getting just a bit too rigid on a politician.

did he get things wrong? Yep. Did he break down the actual parts needed to get a point across while getting information that most of the population can only begin to grasp out there in an attainable way? I believe he did.

He didn't get defensive, didn't make bold, outrageous claims or shy away. he was engaging, showed enthusiasm (When was the last time you saw enthusiasm about anything technical or scientific from any other politician) and at least made a diligent effort. And, basically, on a layman's terms, it's close enough to be a starting point.

This is why I wish US politicians could just be more like that. He's not a scientist. So, he's gonna get things wrong, but he did a passable job and showed energy for the idea.

Our guys do everything to destroy science while, when it suits them, abuse science to prove a point. I don;t understand this action of trashing something then using it as a standard to adhere to.
