Are there any other astronomers amongst use, if so what gear are you using right now.

Currently I am using a Orion Optics (UK) 10 inch fl6.4 Newtonian relfector on an Orion Optics Dobsonian mount. Just 3 eyepeices: a Baader 32mm Plossl, Baader 8mm - 24mm Baader Mark IV zoom and a 6mm Baader Ortho. I like to keep my gear simple and only use a few filters, a OIII, UHC and 3 coloured filters

I have a 4" SCT that I haven't used in years. More usable right now is a very nice pair of 10x42 binoculars.

I don't understand anything about the second half of your post but yet I'm interested

I had expected more people here to be into astronomy, which I thought was a pity. I was hoping to be able to discuss particular interests, like splitting binary stars as an example.
