1)...The Question?

How much fitting in do you need in your
area you live and work, or play in!
(outside envirements, inside envirements)??

2)...Statements by Ghosthunter!

Talk about overwhelming. I go into these
casino's to eat cheaply. I like the Fitzgerald
one and it is $8 or less "all you can eat"!

I walk in these places and find the clinging of
slot machines, vacant card table and what
seems like miles and miles of flashing lights
confusing my sense of direction. I tune out
most of it and still look out of place, like a
deer shocked roadkill!

The police and security makes me feel like
I am in San Francisco's "LIBRARY AND
other Social service establishments".

Then come night time, and I find myself
retreating to the 24 Starbuck, where I am
writing this at 2:15am 7/1/05'. I look around
and can focus!

What's strange is I once the loud volume of the
Starbuck on O'Farrell and Mason was distracting,
but even at the same volume at this starbuck
near Border's in Reno, I am perfectly content.

I avoid the Downtown Reno area since it is
too dead, too "canned audio loud", and
Toooooo! Mannnyyyyy! Lights. That is night
in Downtown.

Here in Reno it is the "Down and out", and
gosh! It isn't so much depressing but
a reality that a place like this can harbour
so much evil social practices of punishing
those who don't fit in.

If you are Autistic, you will find that you are
not welcome here. The cops look at you if
any move you make looks suspicious.

If you have autistic traits, "Look out"!
This is why School isn't going to be here.
Their minium wage of $6 per hour + tips
can house and feed, or maybe school you!
But "Boy! you are out of place here! Leave!"
is the vibe, feel and energy if you are autisic.

They age around college age and fit
in(dress wise) at 18-25. They remind
me of San Francisco oldesters(30+) and
younger sets(18-25) gothics, computer
geeks, ect.... BUT!

They are wise to this fitting in "intolerance".
Weirdo-Beware, Dress strange! (fine!)
but don't act strange(autistics beware!).

It is now 2:30am and all is quiet! I get looks
of all types being me! I will not be you, I can
only be me, and this is not a place for a autistic
to be in public! If your a drunk, this also applies.

A drunk can stop drinking, autism is life long,
so if you decided to live here, DON'T LEAVE THE
HOUSE, GO TO WORK, USE YOUR COMPUTER
AND DO BE SEEN IN PUBLIC, especially in the
casino areas.

You gets looks just being at Starbucks, and more
so if you are in the DISMAL AND OVERLITE downtown.

They've probably all seen 'Rainman' - maybe they think you're a card counter. Doesn't sound like your kind of town anyway. Tourist towns can be good (after all you have industry experience!), but maybe not a casino town, too much paranoia.

I agree! School, affordable housing,
and a full-time strength-taylored job
is not here!

I don't see harbouring at Starbucks as
a healthy sign of where one lives, or visits!

I don't understand you "Industry experience"
comment?

P.S.....Thanks for posting and Hi!

'Tourist towns can be good (after all you have industry experience!)'

oh I meant that you've worked in the tourist industry (the backpackers), so you have experience, presumably you could get a reference, so I guess you'd find work. Plus, tourist towns can be good because they're less claustrophobic, always new people moving thru and they can be a bit more casual too in some ways, dress and appearance maybe.
