Custom PC build - feedback requested :D
I was wondering if anyone might be able to give some feedback on a build I'm working on. This is my second time I"ll be building a computer, albeit the first time choosing the components myself (a friend designed the build the last time).
I'm aiming for a midline gaming/every-day use/some video streaming computer. - I do some casual gaming (strategy, city building, some RPG like the Witcher series) but am not into the graphics heavy games that require top-notch graphics cards, and use a 1080p tv as my monitor, so I don't think I'd be able to take advantage of the higher-end components anyways. Ideally I want to keep using this computer for around 5-6 years with minor upgrades along the way. Ideal budget would be around $500 but am currently around $650 with my current build below. Any advice or feedback would be great, especially concerning CPU, Motherboard, and GPU as those are what I know least about!
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600X 3.6 GHz 6-Core processor
Motherboard: Gigabyte B450 Aorus Elite ATX AM4
Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8 GB) DDR4-2666 Memory
Storage: Dual drives
Drive 1 (for operating system/booting): Western Digital Blue 500GB 2.5" SSD
Drive 2 (for main storage): Western Digital Blue 2 TB 3.5" 5400 RPM
Video Card: Sapphire Radeon RX 570 4 GB Pulse Video Card
Power Supply: EVGA BR 500 W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply
Case: BitFenix Enso Mesh ATX Mid Tower Case
You dont need a 500W power supply, you could do with a 400W if you could find one cheaper. I think the rest of the components look good. Buy on Boxing Day sales, its gonna be the cheapest besides Black Friday. Did you use PCpartpicker? https://pcpartpicker.com/ I used that site to pick out the components for my current PC. It's easy to compare prices even if I ended up buying parts from 4 different stores.
