I’ve been hearing it’s “curved” for years.

The reason why, I believe, is similar to why the Earth is oval, rather than round.

They've been debating it for decades.

And the debate is NOT just "curved vs flat". Its three way: ball shaped vs saddle shaped vs flat.

If it IS curved then which way is it curved? Negatively or positively?

Apparently "flat" has been the tentative consensus for a while.

But now we have tentative evidence that its ball shaped.

It's really tough to make sense of an infinite plane or saddle, sphere is a lot more economic because all straight routes lead back around to the same point.
