The thought of using Skype provokes anxiety in me

I've never wanted to use videoconferencing for anything. It's not only unnecessary, it's a waste of good bandwidth.

And yet, some people just can't handle a conversation without seeing something that looks like a person in front of them.

I use it as an instant messenger, never really use it for video or voice calls.

I am so glad I am not the only person.

Last night I actually did a video call on a mobile app (first time in a long time) and my first reaction was ignore the call. They convinced me and it wasn't that bad after awhile but the image quality was horrendous.

Yeah, just don’t do anything you don’t want to do. I have been in that situation and it only created more discomfort and aversion for it.

I actually hate skype to be honest. I remember when MSN messenger kicked the bucket and everyone had to move to skype x_x Man that was a rough transition. I literally lost half my contacts back then as a result because a lot of people did not like skype and the only thing I hated more then skype was facebook

I haven't used it in a long time, but I pretty much used it only as an instant messaging thing too. I use mostly Discord and Whatsapp for messaging now so I haven't been on Skype in a while.

I prefer Telegram. My sister and I use it to talk to each other at least one or two days a week.

Honestly thinking of BSing and creating an open source video app as Skype sucks ATM.
