I am thinking about setting up a PayPal account, but I have a question?

Can I get a printed receipt to "cash out" PayPal cash to put in my back account, or is linking the only option.

I am afraid to link a PayPal account with my bank account, because I worry about hackers.

The only way to verify a Paypal acct is to link it to a bank acct. I know ppl who have a basic bank acct that they only use with paypal in that it is unlinked to other bank accts, keeps a low balance (credit unions seem to be good for this), & money moved from paypal into that acct is removed quickly to maintain the low acct balance.

How do I get money out of my PayPal account?

I've used it since '01 without issues with hackers.

Don't know about a receipt though they do send a confirmatory email.

If you're worried about hackers then you need to create a strong password and here's how;

Open notepad or any word processing program; close your eyes and randomly press keys on the keyboard. You'll get something like this nfdeijohuir23489yu1249p8hr87. Now select twenty characters; huir23489yu1249p8hr8 and change a few letters to caps and you have an allegedly unhackable password. Do not I repeat do not use family names, dates of birth, pet names or in fact any whole words.

Another thing to be very aware of; check what legal protections are in place. Paypal can either draw directly on your bank account (like doing a bank transfer) or use your debit card. Check which one has the stronger protections against fraudulant losses and use that as your funding source.

Maybe a bit silly but if you worry about hackers then just make a strong password and disable the remember me box. At least i can make as many "sub accounts" as i want in my bank so you may be able to only put a certain amount on that account and then link that?
