Does anyone know how to deal with this password problem?

In my new job, we have a password to a site where we do the work from. However, the password I was given will not work. So I thought maybe it's best to create a new password. But in order to create the new password, I have to give the site the old password first. Is there a way around this in anyway?

I could wait for a person at work, who knows about it, but I would have to wait three days for them to get back, and that's three days I would be put behind. Is there a way around this to get the password changed faster if possible or at least get the one I was given to work?
