It is a baby step towards the future of medicine. However to get it to work properly, the computer chip must be made of carbon, not silicon as shown in the video clip. The body senses silicon as a foreign material, which leads to eventual auto immunity issues. Carbon is not an foreign material, so there is less risk for rejection by the body. Any allotrope of carbon can be used, but graphene is the gold standard so far.
Currently, pure carbon chips are only as powerful as a late 1990s silicon chip. It will take about five to ten years of research and development before they can actively be used this way in the body. I actively study the scientific literature on this subject as it has it’s uses.
