Anton's covering the latest news of physarum polycephalum going to the ISS. It's a fascinating thing because it's a case of intelligence and memory, at least of a very high order in the iterative sense (path optimizing and the like), without neurons. It's technically a mammoth single-cell with millions of nuclei that can split into lower level bodies when food is abundant and the part that I'm really stumped on... can have hundreds of viable genders?

I grew and worked with slime mold in college. Fascinating stuff.
