Yeah, and webkit-based browsers make up like 95% of market share. So there are almost no alternatives, which is kind of sad.

There's apparently an awful lot of intrusion on your privacy and data harvesting with Chrome. I only use it in conjunction with the uBlock Origin and Umatrix add-ons. The latter does require a fair bit of fine tuning via trial and error if you want to get the best out of it, or even to make some websites usable.

I have Firefox as the browser on my main laptop, and find it perfectly satisfactory, though I do use Umatrix with that as well.
