This is disappointing news, I think. Google Chrome is to abandon the excellent Windows 8.1 operating system almost immediately after Microsoft ends its support early next year, though they maintained their browser on Windows 7 for a full three years after it was ditched by Microsoft.

Oh well, there's always Firefox, so far at least. Personally I don't like updates, especially when they're forced on me when I'd rather at least wait for a convenient time. They tend to contain changes I don't want. The only time I update at all is if the websites I visit stop working with what I already have, and even then I consider taking my business elsewhere as a first resort. I just wish they'd stop messing with software.
