I have so many different passwords that I have to keep a file of them to keep track of them.

In some cases, I don't bother to keep track of them. I've created completely random passwords of up to about 200 characters long and never wrote them down at all. That was on computers that I had strong control over and could easily change the pasword from the console by booting the computer in single user mode.

By the way, some years ago I loaned a wifi router to a local woman who was moving her insurance office down the street. So the access point name was something like "My company loaner" and the password/passphrase was "I wish I wer an Oscar Meyer weiner". Nobody could ever get logged in because nobody could get the right combination of mispellings -- I mispelled Mayer and wiener.

Call apple support on someone else’s phone.

1-800-MY-APPLE (1-800-692-7753)

You may be able to fix it with their help or reset the password or unlock it using iCloud.

Don’t keep putting in “guess” passwords. It might make things worse.

My dad forgot his password on his ipad. I had to reset it to factory defaults using a USB cable and a laptop.

Did you borrow someone’s phone and call Apple at the number I provided above?
