Didn't Cave Story come out before 2007? I remember playing it a while ago... It truly is an awesome game though. I'd love to be able to play it on my DS.

I nominate DEFCON by Introversion Software. I'm not a fan of RTS games, actually I don't like most of them. But DEFCON does a lot of things differently, along with infusing it with a lot of style.

Cave Story came out in December 2004.
