I just started looking into unixshells

Here's why...

I want to learn some things about unix/linux.
I'm trying to install Ubuntu onto my Dell Latitude (fixing to go to Lemon's old thread and re-read everything you all wrote there)
I also want to play around with creating a website

I found this page --->dMOZ Free Unix Shell Operators

and looked at this one provider so far --->Blinkinshell

What sort of experience do you all have with shells and what would you like to recommend for me or not recommend for me?
