This is quite shocking. I had a hacker on my MSN account 2 months ago. The hacker had used one of my friend's accounts to send me a virus, which then the hacker used to open a backdoor on my computer and used my account to send viruses to my friends. Then it kept going from there, and it's still going round, and I'm still getting the virus coming to me from some of my friends.
What the hacker basically does is takes control of your computer without you reasling, as nothing appears on your screen. The hacker had sent a link to many of my MSN friends which actually led to a booby-trapped website.
