A colleague visited me recently, she uses a MAC, we transfered data files from her memory stick using my PC, the memory stick is now unusable as it is 'write protected'.
I cannot see any way to remove write protection either on the stick itself or using a MAC or PC.
I cannot format the stick on either MAC or PC due to the 'write protection'.

It is a disk2go retracter

I tried the website but there is no useful information.
I tried contacting tech support but not heard back yet.

Anyone help with this?

I've had a similar problem recently where all the data on my flash drive suddenly erases for some reason...try reformatting the drive, and you should be able to use it again.

Thanks
I tried reformatting but it is not possible - error message is that the disk is write protected.
This happens with attempts on both MAC and PC to format.

You probbibly have already done this, but have you looked for a switch on the drive that sets it to locked ( write protecteed) mode? old floppys had the little square and ive seen a few usb drives have a little switch that can get bumped that locks it. Seeing as it happens on both mac and pc i would think its not OS related, more hardware.

Yes I had a good look but there is no switch (some of my MP3/memory sticks have that).
I think it must be a product fault but still no response from company.
