I started using the internet seriously about ten years ago, when I first went to university. And I never looked back :D

Satisfied to be relatively "late adopter" of new technology, am not at all on cutting edge nor adept with machinery, appliances, the whole computer culture. Prefer to let other people try out novelty first, then watch what happens-before I venture to join in.
Signed up for email on someone else's computer in late 2003.
Got computer (and online on regular basis) in early 2004.
Found WP in mid-2005.
Went from never being on computer or internet to opposite extreme: now "the box" (use of computer) plus being online has taken over my life, for both good & ill.

Depending on what you count as a computer, I think either 1966 or 1959.

my first computer usage was when I was 4 years old and I hacked my mother's computer (specifically, reconfiguring the config file to disable the middle mouse button) I'm 20 now, so that was 16 years ago or 1992...

Sometimes I like to think I'm hot stuff because I cut my teeth on an 8086 that didn't have a hard drive, but you, sir, are 1337.

1985 with my first computer a Tandy Color Computer 2 with an audio cassette for data nd program storage and later a FD-501 disk drive. I still have the system in good working condition today.

I was 5 years old then and I have so far collected about 28 computers over the years. ( >30 if i didn't have to throw out a few very large systems that i didn't have space for)

Hello Captain Tux! I really like this avatar. I also used the PC rather early already. The first PC, I had access to was a 286 and at the time, I used it, I could barely read.

I have been using computer since 1980, an old business computer, don't remember the name, but it did run unix, it was the size of 4 filing cabinets, I would play an old star trek game on it. I couldn't afford to get into computers, I wish I did earlier, it wasn't until 1992 that I started taking a real interest, using the old Mac Classics, then using Pc's and Windows later on that year, the internet was still fairly simple at that time, we had Freenet, which was about the only service in Edmonton at the time, so it was only about 1995 before I actally got the chance to use the internet, at the school library, and the first thing I looked at was the Playboy website :D
It wasn't until 1998 that I finally built my own computer out of parts I found while dumpster diving, behind a large companie in downtown Edmonton, an AMD-K6-2 266 processor and a Gigabyte motherboard, still in the case, it only had 32mb of ram, but it was better then what some people were still using then
