I have a dvd recorded on camcorder, and I have connected the cable of the camcorder, with the dvd inside, into the USB port.

What I would like to do is now get that dvd up on the internet in some way, but sending it to people through email, or private messages here.

Does anyone know how I could do this, if it is indeed possible?

Thank you in advance. :)

could you not just take the dvd out of the camcorder and put it into you computers disk drive?

what kind of camera are you using?
what format is it recorded in?
what operating system are you using?
do you have software that came with the camera?

I put my recorded DVD-RWs into my PC and rip the title I want with mplayer, then cut (and occasionally recode) with AviDemux. There is another package called dvdbackup that worked well.

Handbrake is an alternative, also multiplatform.
