Hi Alex, yes, have the latest version of itunes, and I have uninstalled it and reinstalled it to no avail. Usually the computer says it can't find it, but today it told me that the ipod was corrupted. I can't use the restore feature on the itunes site it does'nt restore the ipod because the computer does'nt know it's there even though it shows as a storage device in my computer.

I have had similiar problems ith my ipod and computer...sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't  If possible, I would take the ipod back and get a new one..if that still doesn't work then you know it is something wrong with the computer. You could also try posting this problem in the "computer" forum....you can find it at the top left of the page here...click on discussion and that will give you list of forums. Good luck, I know how frustrating this can be.

I own an I-pod nano, last generation (can't remember the number  ), 8 GB, it's nice but I'm considering buying a Creative, problem is I own a Mac and Creatives are compatible only with Windows, so I think it would be a bit difficult to transfer music from CDs.

Got my 5th gen Ipod 30gb a week after they came out, I am thinking of getting a 16gb Ipod touch, just because
its easier on the eyes while watching videos, also it is web capable which is great when I am on the road

The iPod Touch has Wifi. This doesn't mean you can access the web anywhere, you have to be in range of a wireless signal such as one provided within a home network by a router. You should also be aware that even with a fast connection the iPod Touch loads web content very slowly, perhaps slightly faster than dialup speeds.

I have a 32GB iPod Touch. It's great for me but I think that for someone who just wants to play music and videos the Classic or Nano is better value. I love the Touch's capabilities as an organiser outside of its multimedia capabilities, it is the best organiser I've ever had. The value of iPod Touch gets far better with the higher capacities, the 32GB is decent value but the 8GB is terrible value in comparison.

Got the Shuffle for Christmas - a purple one that I couldn't return (aargh!! !) so I got out my detail sander and a grinder and removed the purple. Now I have a deconstructivist brushed aluminum model. If I find the time I will engrave something cool on it.

I had a hard time getting music on mine (I have a Mac) but all I had to do was log onto ITunes and then was able to use the thing.

I know that, I do have a laptop, but its kind of heavy taking it on the road all the time, I find I am not really using all the music on my 30gb, what did you pay for your 32gb ipod.
